princess of chinatown
the inspiration behind this shoot was to create a sense of nostalgia and reflection. Boston's Chinatown, with its ornate architecture and evocative symbols, provided a poetic backdrop that complemented the narrative of the shoot. the hustle and bustle of the city seamlessly merged with the stillness of the lens, creating an enchanting juxtaposition of life's rhythm.
i wore an outfit inspired by Hong Kong filmmaker Wong Kar Wai and Japanese designer Issey Miyake. through this photoshoot, i discovered the profound power of self-expression, bridging the gap between cultural reverence and personal identity. it was a celebration of the past and the present, an exploration of my roots, and a tribute to the cinematic brilliance of Wong Kar Wai.
